However, just at the end, Our Kitty, Minkers(who had been hanging around for the entire ritual), walked between me and the table that our candles were on and then managed to set his tail aflame!
Minkers is okay, the flame did nothing more than singe a bit of his fur... If it reached his actual tail, it didn't do any actual damage.
But I'm left wondering about the mystical part of this. What does it mean, when you're having a ritual devoted to tieing off loose ends, rebuilding strength and "harvesting" your ideas, and your dark grey cat burns himself on one of the flames?!
I'm just not quite certain if this was a message and if so for whom? It was "my" flame, so probally me(I was the one who put out the flame before kitty was actually hurt), but I'm just not certain what the message was... Beyond Kitties are very flamable things!
