New to site

Postby laura-kirkham » Thu Sep 20, 2007 9:31 am

Hello, I found this site by searching for information. I have been interested in paganism for years, it seems most of my life. It has always felt like something was tapping me on the shoulder trying to get my attention. I started studying in January of this year. My children, both grown, have said I am calmer and happier since I started studying. I tend to read more than post and I hope that is not a problem. My father always told us that reading and listening were a very big part of learning. He also tried to impress on us that learning never stops it is the person that stops learning. I guess that is why I read so much.

Welcome Laura to the Library.
I hope that you'll find it suitable for studying even though there's no "no talking" sign(far from it actually  )

Blessings,
Katsu

Maybe now you're starting to understand that while I may have been born predispositioned to be pretty batty, my parents saw to it that it was a certainty and completely unavoidable. -Me

Hi, I just registered today, but I am not new to posting as I belong to other forums. I have been self-identifying since April. For some time I went back and forth with Paganism pondering if I was serious about it because of coming from a Catholic background and because of my OCD tendencies, but finally this past April I accepted that was what fit me. I did try out some other belief systems that weren't a good match, I've found that Paganism does fit me as I am able to go at my own pace and get answers from real people as opposed to people reguritating answers from some book. That's funny for me because I love to read what I find fascinating. I like what some people would call weird things like ghosts and children with psychic abilities. I watch Ghostly Encounters on Bio or A and E whenever it's on and like the history of holidays. I am currently just beginning to develop a practice that is right now very loose and without much structure. I am very interested in Celtic Mythology and Divinity and also Norse Mythology, so either one of those could lead me in that direction. Looking forward to meeting more new people here. :-D

Hello and welcome! How about creating a thread just for you in the Newbies section? Glad you have found a spirituality that fits you. It does take a long while for most people. :)

Again, welcome to the Pagan Library.
