Hi, just wondering why this board is so quiet. I haven't specifically chosen Wicca yet, but it seems most interesting to me at this time. Anyway, is this the right forum for me, or should I try to find somewhere more suitable to hang out

OK, I'll bite. Is Wicca a Pagan practice? Meaning I guess that if I chose to practice Wicca, would I also be Pagan?

It is a type of Paganism.
As stated in another topic somewhere on this board, Pagan was a term for people in the country, and since people in the country collaborated with gods involved with the country (faeries like brownies and Fenodere I think the name is, crop gods, etc), it became the custom to call their religious practices "Pagan" and many non-Christian, non-Monotheistic practices are labelled such.
So yes, Wiccanism is a form of Paganism. Do I deserve an apple? (Sorry, strange mood... Very shaken up!)

An apple it is That is good to understand. I sort of felt that it was. It is a subject that I didn't come across in reading so far though. I haven't done much with seriousness yet as it is hard to do anything not "fundy" around here and time alone is hard to find.

heh heh... Check out "Help Needed for Negative Entity" O_O you will understand. Was not scary at the time (except for hearing my niece and running down the stairs - I turned on every light on my way), only right before and a little while after.
I meant to say in my last post that we all started out green, and hey, in the broad scheme of things, we are still seeds in the ground.

basically, if that blew you away, there are different sects of Paganism apart from Wicca, such as Buddhism. You can be Pagan without being Wiccan, but if you're Wiccan, you will always be pagan.

I understood completely, as that was my feeling anyway, but thanx for helping The more reading and reference I do, the more I believe that this is the path for me. I love it and am very excited about knowing more and learning how to use this knowledge. It makes sense to me and coincides with how I have always felt about everything around me. It fits
