Pagan political leanings

Since this is an election year and in my mundane life I am, among other things a political commentator...I thought I might like to find out something about pagan politics this year.

When asked, "Democrat or Republican?", my usual response is "Human, and you?".



Both parties are simply nauseating.

I guess you're stuck with just those 2 to pick from in your country, huh? I'm working on a vision of a Pagan US President ... WOW! The possibilities!! How come you're only a commentator???

LOL. Well, these aren't parties, per se, (except for the Libertarians) these are political leanings. For instance...most of the Canadian government would be considered leftist or more socialist in inclination. Whereas the current US government would be considered more rightist. (Conservative and Liberal are words that really do not apply and are misused). Libertarianism is a political philosophy that has some elements of both but is more centrist. (Fiscally conservative, socially liberal).



I'm "only a commentator when I write. Most of the time I'm a stay at home dad and a County Secretary (possibly even the Chairman at this point, I'm waiting on an email) for my chosen political party. As a commentator I get the opportunity to express viewpoints that others may not get to see. Or like. LOL

For someone who is curmudgeonly it's a perfect outlet. And my teachers said that that attitude would get me nowhere! LOL

I like some leftish, some right, a good bit of centrist and a dash of libertarian, sometimes with a hint of anarchist and occasionally a leaning toward totalitarianism (you meet people who inspire such inclinations if you work in customer service .)

It's my day off. For this I am eternally thankfull. Nobody screaming at me because they haven't payed their bill in six months and can't understand why I shut off their internet access.

Now, i have yet to realy read what everyone else has posted, but as for myself... I am so far to the right, i have troble staying on the wing. (right being Liberal... i think. at least that is what i am told.) If anyone has read my rants, its prolly obvious to...

Dav, my last day at working for Microshaft, I spent the day telling the truly stupid callers that their computer was fried, that they needed to package it back up, take it in to the store they purchased it from, and tell the service personal that they need a refund because they are suffering from a 1d 10 t error.

Funny thing is, several people wrote it down, I could hear them writing my directions down, and they still never got a clue.



Personally, I feel that some people should have a technical limit rating stating that they are only allowed to use technology that's level of complication falls between a match and a toaster



I worked and ran help desks for years, I can feel your pain.

heh heh, I know the feeling. I was on the last day of my 2 weeks notice before starting a job at IBM and it seemed every other call (or more) that I got that last day was from some complete and total idiot. Almost all total user issues from end lusers who should not have been allowed to even look at a cpu, more less touch one, LOL.



I am glad I got out of that and into programming full time. There's stresses here, but at least there's less direct interaction with a high volume the kind of people who lead to psychotic breaks with reality and an uprising of anscetral urges that involve axes, hammers and swords, heh heh

Luckily i work with people who know how to use a computer (or else they never would be in this job) but they are just your run of the mill users. I usually have to help them from time to time which distracts me from my own work.



Personally my favorite type of people to hang out with are programmers. I dunno why but they seem to flock to me. My friend Adam, Firelord, and Runewolf and i can toss Librarian in there too. *lol* Maybe designers and programmers are a perfect match.
