okay. First of all, congrats on upping the veggie & water intake. That is a huge step in the right direction. A few questions:
1)How much milk do you drink? In what form?
2)How much meat do you eat? What kind? Is it organic? Is it heavily processed?
3)Do you have any allergies? Food sensitivities?
A few suggestions:
1)Buy a cheap juicer, and drink 2 glasses of carrot juice in the morning, every morning. Spice it up & add a piece of celery to the juicer, or some other veggies, but keep it at least 2/3 carrot juice. Drink it as soon as it is juiced. Within a few weeks, you will notice improvement.
2)Try BarleyMax, or something similar: It's barley or green juice that is dehydrated. Add a teaspoon to a tablespoon in a glass of water first thing in the morning, 1/2hr before eating breakfast. Some people HATE the taste, but it really cleanses and because I'm drinking this stuff, eating lots of greens (Chlorophyll), and not filling my body with Cr**, I don't even have to use deoderant, and only get a pimple or two if my body is fighting something off.
3)Get LOTS of sleep. For three or four nights, get over 10 hours sleep. It sounds like a lot, but whenever I would get an outbreak, I'd do this, and everything would be 1/3 gone by morning. Do whatever it takes: earplugs, tea with valerian in it (careful!), telling the hubby he needs to sleep on the couch for a few days...
4) Change your pillow case every day. There is bacteria on the pillowcase after you have been sleeping on it, and if you have acne, no matter what you do, that bacteria will keep infecting your skin if you keep applying it in this way.
5) Try cutting everything out of your diet that could possibly be causing you trouble. Cut out wheat, meat, milk, eggs... Eat lots of local fruit and veggies. Do this for two weeks, and then start slowly reintroducing foods one at a time to see if they effect your overall feelings & your acne. When you reintroduce the meat, don't group all meat into one category. Add turkey, then chicken, then beef, then pork. Should be in that order.
There is a way to get past the antibiotics if you are really feeling like this is not good for you. Try these suggestions. The carrot juice is amazing for your skin and REALLY speeds healing (incredible, I'm not joking) but make sure you do it every day. The sleep is VERY important. If you are getting 8 hrs that is not enough right now. Your body needs help healing, and if you want these suckers gone, you need to sleep a LONG time. Even 12 hours is preferable. It may seem like a waste of time, and maybe your body isn't used to that and will wake up after 8 hrs. DO WHAT IT TAKES. If it's too hard during work days, do it on the weekend so you can nap in the middle of the day.
Anyway, what you are already doing is great. You're making changes. You're doing great
