Ads

So I'm stalking the forums and reading rooms of Pagan Library, searching for the path that fits me (leaning heavily towards Wicca), and I see a lot of ads. Don't get me wrong, advertising can be a good thing. But when I see things like, "REAL Love Spells & Curses: Easy and Powerful Magick!" on an ad, I just wanna do this:

It can be hard to find what I'm searching for with constant fluffiness and obvious scams flashing in my face. But I guess everything in life is a learning experience.

I'm sure the internet just filters through, sees words like witchcraft, spells, and magick, and assigns semi-related ads. But am I the only one, or does this annoy others too?

Are you talking about the ads that run at the top and bottom, or ads that somebody posted within posts?

The ones at top and bottom pay for the site. Consider it a necessary evil.

i get what you are saying. i go onto a site about energy manipulation and get things like pinkwink. -_- first off it was a forum that asked gender, i would figure they could filter out a lesbian chat-site. but oh well. glad to see this place isnt completely empty.

It's actually quite busy. The main site is still getting about 1500 visitors a day while the forums have a lot of lurkers.
