:-o Willow, I did exactly that this afternoon! But instead of cleaning walls, I was scrubbing around the skirting boards for a couple of hours. Always keen to break gender stereotypes - do you think guys ever get like this?

If I don't do it it would NEVER be done. As an experement once I saw a letter that Lisa had dropped on the floor, so I left it to see how long it would be before she picked it up.

It is still there.

She dropped it in 2007!

Wow, Ragnar... You've definitely got tenacity. I would have shredded the thing by now.

Max, my hubby is the same way. I came home after a card reading marathon on Saturday to find the computer room completely revamped. The thing is, he tidies. As long as it LOOKS clean and neat and organized, he's happy. It doesn't matter if there's a layer of dust on it (unless it's one of his electronics, then no speck of dust will touch it!). Me, I like clean. I don't like tidying, but I'll do it, but in the process, the counters are scrubbed, the dishes cleaned, and any spots wiped off the face of the earth. Between us, we get it done.

My husband gets organising urges,I'll come home and all of a sudden I can't find any files as he will have created a crazy new organizational system. We both also get fixing urges, a week ago he fixed a mirror whose frame had been broken for years.

Haha! I love these domestic stories, the trials of negotiating the house territory. My ex was a tidier, and I was a cleaner. It mostly worked. I'd just like to share that I put together some flat pack furniture for my new house last week. It was my first attempt at d.i.y. I used two different screwdrivers and lots of odd-shaped screws. I was so impressed with myself .

I got a set of bookshelves and the plans for a coffee table.

The bloody table is so full of books, there is nowhere to put the coffee.

Haha, nice ! That actually is the state of my coffee table at the mo, so I usually put my cups on the floor anyway
