Recipe Posting

So, what's for dinner?

Should we open up this section to all recipes, not just those that are pagan-related?

Might as well, but how about we make the titles need a prefix, like "general recipe: chili" and "Yule recipe: Plum Pudding" and such? That way they're easier to tell appart from the main category listing?

How about two separate forums, "Pagan Recipes" and "General Recipes"?

Either way... if we do two separate, mods will need to pay attention to make sure things are in the right place, but really, either one would work. It would probably be easier with two though. A lot of folks have a tendency of not reading instructions, so we wouldn't have to worry about missing titles headers.

I agree, either way, but may as well open it up for anything. :P

Being a chef intraining I would welcome all types of recipes, but I think the idea of two (at least) categories is a very good one.

I personally have split intrest in both Pagan(or medieval) recipes and standard everyday recipes.

My profession calls for modern knowledge and my passion calls back to the old ways.

I shall endeavor to be an avid contributer to both sections if this is implemented.

I would rather keep it as one forum (the topic list is getting so long now)

But i would say open it to all recipes for those of us (like me) that cant cook but really really would like to build my own recipe box/cookbook

but I think even tho its open to all recipes, the emphasis should still be on some down home pagan cookin'!

I actually would like to see it in two different postings but that is just my oppinion. Would it help to clear out some of the old forums that haven't been posted in since Sept.. I don't know about all that tekie stuff but it just seems like it would be easier to find the pagan ones when needed if you didn't have to sort through the general. I have a lot of general recipes since I'm also a chef in training but have had difficulty finding pagan ones. I think it would add a lot to ones ritual if you usede cakes that you made yourself.

i kinda agree with you Draconia. Why do we need the reference section? Or arcade, etc if nobody is going to post in those. But they are there because of the same sections in the main library site. The forum was originally meant so we could chat about the articles on the main site.

i guess we've grown so far away from that...

The reference section wouldn't be so bad if it had some more actual reference stuff, things that would be useful like spells people have created and didn't mind others using, kind of like the boards own b.o.s. I mean you could have it on the same recipe forum just different postings. I hope I'm using the correct terminology here. It would also be nice if we limited to just recipes and kept the conversation to another post. We could make it like an online recipe book in two different sections. Am I rambling or am I actually making sense?

Both? :-D

Actually, rituals are in "Spells & Rituals". "Reference" was meant to be an encyclopedia, especially for newbies who already had some knowledge, or, even, as a bibliography as some have used it for their term papers.
