Okay, setting myself up for the jokes, one time offer only...the smiley with the net and the chicken... I don't get it, am I missing something?

I have no idea what it is supposed to mean, but it brings to mind vanity.

We have a few chicken-catching jobs out here (or turkey-catching come autumn... *shudders*) and it's just running around in s*%$ trying to catch something impossible and injuring yourself in the process. Turkey catching is very dangerous O_O

or it could be representative of something just plain stupid (like when I would lasso my chickens  did not hurt them, don't worry.)

I personally could see it used in a conversation about the U.S.'s "War On Terror."

Turkey-catching??? Why would you WANT to catch one? This is a job? Or is that a county fair thing like catching greased pigs? Wow, color me a city girl. I got chased by a turkey once, dang thing was as big as I am! It beat up my 70 lb dog, too. Nasty things, turkeys. Rather grab a gator by the tail, thank you very much...

Did you know that domestic turkeys cannot be allowed to be outside in the rain? They're so stupid they'll drown themselves by looking up to see what's hitting their heads!

But wild turkeys are cunning featherheads! Had an entire flock stop traffic near my house for about 15 mins while they strolled across teh road.

Hey Grumpy, ask some of our local English/European folks, they can tell you all about chicken chasers. ;)
Maybe now you're starting to understand that while I may have been born predispositioned to be pretty batty, my parents saw to it that it was a certainty and completely unavoidable. -Me
