I like to thank all of you who prayed and sent blessings. My wife spent 5 hours in the operating room yesterday. They sectioned off a part of her colon and attached the two ends. Her gall bladder was removed also. She is in ICU and doing well but she is hooked up to a resperator. I did not get home until 5:00 AM this morning. I called to check on her, before I got on line, and she continues to do well and they will be removing the resperator in a little while. I am heading back up there as soon as I am done with this message.

Continued blessings to you and your wife, hon. I wish you both the best.
And on a side note, you are a totally wonderful husband for stick with her through all of this. This is what true love is about. I can only hope that my bf would do the same. But ya never know til you are in the situation. I don't know if there really is Karma sometimes, but I just want to believe that things will look up for you both soon, because you are just such a wonderful person.

Thanks Fyregarnet and Rune. I can actually sit down now and type. She is progressing quite nicely and besides, all of the visitors at the ICU ward were told to leave including me. After her operation she looked like Death. That really scared me to no end that my very legs started to give out on me. She regained her normal features today. I am pleased with the outcome. She should be home later on this week.

Great! I've been hoping for a good turn out.
Do not worry my godmother (yes, was catholic back in the day) had a similar surgery many years ago and lived a long happy life well into old age....she had to be careful with certain foods. Like I remember that she could never have blueberries.

I have not been the same since that house fell on my sister.

Thank you all. The wife is better but still very weak. She is attempting eating and things are moving--ya know what I mean? Looks like she will be staying in the hospital for a couple more weeks. She needs physical therapy to strenghten her legs up. Hopefully they can actually get her to walk again.

Her insurance won't let her stay a couple of week in the hospital so they are transporting her to a nursing home on Monday. When she is stronger she will be placed in a rehab center for physical therapy. It does not look like the wife will be home until next year.
