Best Tea I Ever Had (Ginger)

Post by Timmy » Tue Jan 27, 2004 10:50 am

Like this:

Bring water to a boil in a tea pot.

While water is heating, slice fresh ginger root as thin as possible.

Once water boils remove from heat.

Add sliced ginger to a cup and fill with hot water.

Cover for a maxium effect and steep 15 minutes.

Remove cover, add additional flavors and herbs.

Tips:

You may choose to strain this tea, I normally do not.

For flavoring a couple of my favorites is a cinnamon stick and a couple clove buds.

For sweetening you can use honey or stevia.

WHAT YOU NEED: :D

Fresh ginger root

Water

Tea Pot

Cup

Alternate Flowers

Sharp Knife *Have parents help you if you are younger that 10*

Blessed Be-

Enjoy :D
Mind, body, and soul.

A decent tea that you can purchase is Moonlight Spice by Numi.

The above sounds good, but personally, except in breaks, I am not big on ginger. I am big on teas. I love my coffee too, but teas can be more satisfying.

:-( *pouts* that was not a fair poll: What if you like both tea and coffee?

Oooh, I love ginger so Ill be trying this one. My favorite teas are Oolong and Rose petal ceylon tea

For a calming tea late'

mix two parts rose petals

one part lavender flowers

1/2 part of chamomile (just a bit cause chamomile tends to add a medicinal taste)

blend with equal amount of ceylon tea

Steep the tea for over 5mins til very strong and then add steamed milk

Ive never needed to sweeten it but all is well

I love coffee.

And I love tea...

I love the Java Jive and it loves me

Coffee and tea and the java and me

A cup, a cup, a cup, a cup, a cup (Ah!)

I love java, sweet and hot

Whoops, Mr. Moto, I'm a coffee pot

Shoot me the pot, and I'll pour me a shot

A cup, a cup, a cup, a cup, a cup

Oh, slip me a slug from that wonderful mug

And I'll cut a rug, 'till I'm snug in a jug

A sliced up onion, and a raw one

Draw one -

(Waiter, waiter, percolator)

I love coffee, I love tea

I love the Java Jive and it loves me

Coffee and tea and the java and me

A cup, a cup, a cup, a cup, a cup (Ah!)

Boston bean (soy beans)

I said, them little itty bitty Green beans (cabbage and greens)

(you that) I'm not keen about a bean

Unless it is a chili chili bean (Talk it boy!)

I love java, sweet and hot

Whoops, Mr. Moto, I'm a coffee pot (yeah)

Shoot me the pot, and I'll pour me a shot

A cup, a cup, a cup (yeah)

Slip me a slug of the wonderful mug

'An I'll cut a rug that's snug in a jug

Drop your nickel in my pot, Joe

Takin' it slow

Waiter, waiter, percolator

I love coffee, I love tea

I love the Java Jive and it loves me

Coffee and tea and the java and me

A cup, a cup, a cup, a cup, boy!

Hmmm, I personally like home made Chai. Dont buy that silly catpuke they sell at the store like a Gourmet Chai or something. There is only one true Chai, and it is made in the Middle East. Fortunately I have plenty of Moslim friends, and they showed me how.
1. D Milk
2. Black Tea(plenty)
3.Pot
4.sugar.

It is simple, but you must try before judging, this is like the Hindu Version of Hot Cocoa, except I think its better.
Ok, heat pot to a boil, adding plenty of black teabags or whateva to the water, then when it begins to simmer keep it simmering, but no boil,
Add plenty of Milk, not too much, but not too little, just put it in there, you will know it is ready when it has a brownish color to it. make sure you added plenty of Milk. now withdraw, pour into cup, add sugar as needed, and enjoy.

PS, that filmy substance forming at the top, dont worry, its not going bad, it just the heated milk, and besides, that parts sweet. :-D
