Why there is no "Xtian Pornography"

Welcome to Fundies! Here you can discuss, vent about, or bash fundamentalists of all persuasions. That means pagan fundies, too.

Interesting point of view. Makes sense to me. Would you mind awfully if I quoted that in one of my Essays? With full accreditation, of course.

Bye the way, "evil things trying to lure men onto unholy roads

Are you talking to me? And here I didn't think I was making any sense at all. Go ahead and quote away.

I kinda like the role of temptress. :snakeman: It's much more interesting than prudish submissive virgin. :angel10:

Crazy Healer Lady wrote about 1984. Remember in that, the Government supplied mild pronogreaphy to make the people think they were getting something shady, therefore keeping them from thinking about complaining regarding the Government. It's the same today in the real world. Maybe not pornography, but that is obviously there as well, but the absolute rubbish on T.V. like "big brother" (pretty apt, is there a message for us there?), " fee paying public pay for house to be decorated, when the owner could obviously afford to do it him/her self" programmes, "Sport" rubbish. What happened to investigative documentary programming? Programmes that campaigned for things? Programmes that made you think?
Librarian wrote that most pornographers consider themselves to be christian. Well they would, think about it 99% of people in prison for all crimes outside of Asia/India, claim to be christian or muslim. They are, therefore, oviously criminal organisations.

I think one of the reasons that sex is so taboo in xtian theology is bc sex gives women power. We all know that men want and need sex. They think about it VERY often. Women hold that key. Unless you subjugate women. Make them totally submissive with no say-so in the matter. Little more than servants that men can own and use when ever they want. You just can't let women realize how much power they truly have. It would throw a terrible wrench in patriarchy. That's one reason women are so vibrantly portrayed as temptresses, evil things trying to lure men onto unholy roads straight to Hell. We can't let men give over the power that women inherently have.

Hit the nail on the head there. Maybe I shouldnt be saying this because Im a guy myself, but thats exactly what Ive been thinking about various forms of christianity and islam for a few years now.

Btw, 2crunchy, that paragraph made perfect sense.
And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our souls.
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold.
And if you listen very hard
The truth will come to you at last.

Thanks. I was feeling a bit incoherent when I wrote it. Sometimes I have things in my head, but they don't always come out right when I try to explain them. Anyway...I think it's important for me as a woman to hear that men (at least some of you) think this way as well. I, as a woman, sometimes have a serious chip on my shoulder when it comes to the Xtian church and their long history of suppressing women. I think a lot of men are afraid of women's sexual power and so they don't want to acknowledge it or try to suppress it or whatever. Men may be physically stronger than women and they have used that to keep them down for a long time. Unfortuantely, when the feminist movement came about they hyped up the "I can do anything you can do" idea. They made it seem like women had to become like men to be validated. But women are not men. We are just as good as, but different than our male counterparts. I say let us be women. Let us be sexual and have babies and be emotional, intuitive and nurturing.

And how about some chocolate milk? We'll add some chocolate soy milk for those who are lactose intolerant, or just have some personal vendetta against dairy products. ;)

Okay, just to be difficult, I went searching for Christian porn.

Ready to see what I found?:
  • XXX Church http://www.xxxchurch.com/helping to bring a different sort of awareness to the pornography debate. Providing Christians with non-judgemental and creative solutions to adult material.
  • ChristsLove.com http://www.christslove.com/ The Christian Porno Site! We are Christians. Our Missionaries are Everywhere, You Will Be Assimilated, You Will Become Part of the Collective, Resistance is Futile.
  • Skeptic's Annotated Bible http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/ The ultimate in obscenities!
Have fun!

Oh, man! I've been making Snickerdoodles since I was 12! They can be the BEST when you want something rich and sweet but are chocolated out.

Otherwise, fudge chunk.
