New Tarot Cards

Post by Kitsune » Tue Aug 25, 2009 7:56 pm

I had thought that they weren't making it anymore, but apparently they are!

Years ago, I was checking out websites, when I saw the visionary beauty of the Manga Tarot by Riccardo Minetti and Anna Lazzarini. This deck is by far one of the most beautiful decks I've ever found, but I had decided that I could wait to get it.

Had I been determined, I probably could've ordered it online, but for a variety of reasons I kept refusing to do it.

Well, today I found them at my local chapters, and immediately bought the deck. I'll post a link to a few of the cards eventually (I need to find time to scan them into my computer), or I may do my first vid cast on the deck... Either way, I will get you guys pics to see...

I'm so excited... I'm practically bouncing off the walls!

Yep... Chapters are now officially my downfall!

I also picked myself up a 2010 daytimer... really nice one, with Celtic symbolism and knot work all over it. I can't wait to use it!

They do look good. I may pick up a set myself and see if it works as well as my current set.

They sell them at Barnes & Noble - LINK

I've started reading with them, and they do seem really easy to read. There is only a few cards that I seem to keep forgetting the meaning to. The meanings are reasonably close to the Rider-Waite deck as well, so if you know that deck, it's not too difficult to remember the few meanings that aren't very clear as per the pictures.

All in all, I'm very pleased with it. I love the energy in these cards though.

My Hubby almost go those for me, until he he read they were based on the "Popular Rider-Waite deck"...which makes me sick to my stomach. Which stinks b/c they're a neat concept.

I might study the "style" and try a few pieces in it. Maybe I'll make my own 8-bit tarot...
You say "Witch" like it's a bad thing!
