i burnt my hand...

...by accidentally touching the lawnmower engine compartment after mowing the lawn. #-o #-o

2nd degree burns on my right hand, all the fingers but the pinky and parts of the palm.

I think I've fulfilled my stupid quota for the rest of the year.

Anyways, my right hand is out of commission for a while...so, if you happen to think about it, could you toss some helping energy / thoughts my way?

And yes, this will limit posting as typing one-handed is a pain...no pun intended.

Ouch, energy and blessings your way.

I just bought a computer voice recognition program though from Dragon NaturallySpeaking. I mention it since right now it's selling for half off ($49 instead of $99) right now. And I can relate to how irritating typing one handed can be.

Sorry, I just saw your other post.

I hope you heal quickly at least!

Take care of yourself...

Lots of Aloe! And if you have any homeopathic remedies, you might try some Hypericum or cantharis.

i have a really good aloe-based burn gel that my sister and i mixed up...but i want to go through the prescription they gave me before going into that.

2nd day, no major pain...so i think i'm doing better

Aw, Kystar. :(

Something I always keep on hand and in easy reach is real (not "fake") lavendar essential oil. Drop it right onto the burn - any burn - as soon as possible to the time of injury, and it will a) erase the pain fully or mostly b) allow the burn to heal faster c) stop it from blistering.

Not that it helps you much now... (it's effectiveness drops the longer you wait to use it)

In the meantime, keep aloe-ing! Feel better, and keep your spirits high!

funny thing, i HAVE that oil...b/c me and a s-i-s were thinking of making aromatherapy stuff to sell. but, it's in the basement b/c everything i read said to not use undiluted oils. #-o

Anyways, still on the prescription for a while, but i will be using my aloe soon...and the mix includes lavender, so, it should do good things.

thanks for the good wishes.

Absolutely you should not use undiluted oils on the skin, except lavendar and tea tree oil. :) Both of these, in the concentrations readily available at health food stores and pharmacies, are kind enough to put on skin.

*head+ desk*

LOL

good news is that the burn on my thumb is basically gone. we can see the outline of where it was, but I can't feel it anymore. We've stopped using the prescription stuff there, and tomorrow I'm leaving it un-bandaged.

Though, my index finger feels awful still. Oh well, one step at a time.
