Samhain Blessings!!!

Post by Kitsune » Tue Oct 30, 2007 11:58 am

The Veil is thin, and worlds draw near,
Spirits walk this night, but do not fear,
For they are Family, Friends and Foes,
Pets, Wildlife, Fishes, Crows,
And don't forget the Fair Folk at play,
Elves, Brownies, Dragons, Fey...

Some to Trick & some to Treat,
Some to sit with us and eat.
Others to cause Mischief & Dismay,
And then to lead our feet astray.
So travel only the paths you know,
Weak Minds will Sleep forever below.

Nature hides in the Crone's embrace.
In her darkness, our fears we face.
But do not fear and do not hide
For on the New Year, Blessings ride!
Three Months hence when the Lord is Born,
And the Maiden returns to Yule's bright throne.

Blessed Samhein to you all!

Poem is Attributed to Kitsune... Mention if you thought it was good... She went into a writing spaz one day, and she's not certain if it's any good.

YAY! Paperbag princess!!!! That'll fit over a snowsuit ^_^ I think that was one of my favourite stories, perhaps because the boy I liked at that age was, well, kind of like the prince #-o Dump ME because I'm not preppy and beautiful, will ya? ;)

Kitsune, that poem is amazing :D:D Did you really write it? Wow! It flows very nicely! I am a big fan as well ^_^

Thank guys! Yeah, I wrote it myself... I'm still just in the editing stages... I'll probally end up looking at it in 3 months and then if I still can't think of anything to change on it, it'll stay that way as a "finished copy"....

Actually, normally I can't stand writing poems that rhyme, but like I said, after I figured out the first two lines, it seemed to run away from me, and wouldn't let me start writing the way I usually do!

But if I write anything else, I promise I'll write it up here for you guys to see!
