I NEED COURAGE!

Post by Kystar » Tue Feb 27, 2007 5:31 pm

Okay, I know that it seems a bit wierd when I pop in here...but I'm dealing with a major issue for me...and I need to NOT turn into the COwardly Lion here!

Been having a toothache for the last few days, almost a week now, so I got a dentist appointment to have it looked at. It's a wisdom tooth that needs to come out. Here's the catch, I have never had any dental work done, so I'm TERRIFIED of them.

PLEASE, please, Send me some courage!

That shouldn't hurt much....had two removed in 4 days  ( but be warned, this comes from the same guy that has 7 tattoo's but still fears his dentist)

Remember:

If we pray the Lord for Strength,
There is naught we cannot do.(even the dentist [-o< )

Maybe now you're starting to understand that while I may have been born predispositioned to be pretty batty, my parents saw to it that it was a certainty and completely unavoidable. -Me

Is just a little needle. You'll be just fine. I know this, cause you've got lots of us sending you stength.

You're actually a really tough cookie. You just haven't needed to prove it yet.

Bright Blessings, hun!

Sending you courage.

Have ice, applesauce and easily chewable stuff on hand.

Rember to breathe and tell the dentist if something feels uncomfortable. You can do it and we have faith in you !

There's nothing to fear. Trust me, you really want to get this out. Mine are giving me no end of gyp.

How are the others? Will it be cheaper and more efficient to get them all out at the same time?

Well, despite crying nearly hysterically, swearing like a sailor on shore leave, or maybe a pirate in his cups, I did actually survive the brutal thing that is a tooth extraction.

Why is it in this day and age, the best way to remove an unwanted tooth is STILL brute force?

And why can't they do something to prevent bleeding? My cat had a tooth extracted, and they stitched her up, with a little cauterization...WHY CAN'T THEY DO THAT FOR US HUMANS!? HEre, I'm stuck holding GAUZE in the HOLE! ICK! :sign11:

Okay, I'm done. SOrry about that guys.

BIG UBER HUGS TO EVERYONE WHO WISHED ME WELL!

Yeah, I survived, and am actually down to like two doses of painkiller a day, already. Wonderfully strange how my body goes.."But I don't LIKE Advil!" and just makes sure the pain goes away really fast.

KHELDAR! How is it I never noticed that before?! Silk is love!!!

Did reading about Silk and Barak ever make you think of Loki and Thor? It's like one of Jung's archetypes!

Oh yes, I've thought of those two gods bickering after reading a good Silk/Barak bantering session.

Have you ever bothered to read the Rivan Codex that outlines the original planned social structure of the kingdoms and their customs? It's totally cooL!
