I appreciate that Lotus. Things are moving slow. There are a few people at work who think it funny that the wife is in the nursing home--idiots. The stress is getting to me. I slept 14 hours missing work on Friday. I also developed a rash which is really itchy which is no doubt related to the stress. I been doing my own rituals. She has only healed one milimeter. I can't complain since the therapy is working.

Update: The nurses removed the pic line today. The wound is smaller thanks to the wound pump and everyone here. I took care of those characters at work with a photograph of the wound
The wife will see her doctor on Monday and he will taking measurements and changing the sponge, dressing and tubing. I just hope she is healing properly from the inside out.

Sorry for the late post. The doctor said that the wound is healing nicely. She is having bouts of depression but that is normal since she is not at home. I am keeping my fingers crossed that she will be come home before the end of March. Oh yes, I pulled a muscle in my back and I am very sore even though I took a pain/anti-inflamitory pill.

First I want to say that I'm so sorry Socialgreen for all that you and especially your wife have gone through. And I'm sorry that I couldn't have been able to give support from the begining. However I am here now and I give you all the blessings I can. But I must say this in response to your last post, taking care of your wife also involves taking care of yourself. What kind of place will your wife come home to if you overwork yourself? Keep yourself strong so you can be strong for her.

Thanks Celtic Dragon. This is way overdue update: My wife came home this past Friday for good =D> She is on a portable wound vac machine rather than the big bulky one at the nursing home. That means she is more mobile. the hole in her stomach is smaller but still too deep to be taken off the machine. She also has a caregiver provided by a agency and they get along really well.

Thank you for the responses and thank you for the healing energies for the wife and me self. However, my cat was in a really bad cat fight. He had surgery on his head due to a large infection--and castrated as well. Now he is bald on his head with two rubber tubings sticking out in front and one in the back. He has 10 or more stitches and has to wear a satelite dish till the vet says otherwise. I have to give him atibiotics and pain medicine. He is not mad at me but upset that he is not allowed outside

Me and the wife went out to dinner today. I am very happy that she can walk in and out of the restaurant. Of course we get stared at because it looks like she is on a leash. I carry the machine. Shady Cat had his tubes removed to day but it will be another 10 days before the stitches come out. He has to wear the cone till then. I have had cats before but this one is special. I never had a close bond with a cat before.
