Wife Will Remain in the Hospital
I thought she would come home today. But the doc said no. He found a large bleeding polyop which prevented him from taking a deeper look. That will be removed on Wednesday including any other ones she may have.

The surgical proceedure the doctor was going to do did not happen. He discovered something he and the other doctors did not expect at all. What they thought was another polyp in the upper colon area turned out to be a mass of some sort. This growth or whatever has caused a restriction (perhaps three millimeters or [O] this big) in the colon. The doctor said it looked benign but he took samples of it anyways. She will have a CT scan tomorrow morning. She will have major surgery and I don't know when. He talked of removing that section of the colon. The polyp will be removed later. I thought it would be good for you to know. As for me I am a bit upset and worried.

Well, I agree with the others that I'm sorry to hear that my friend.
I can understand your stress and worry quite well as well. However, don't let it eat at you. It doesn't benefit you in any way and may actually cause you problems, so let it go. Be aware of the situation and let your compassion and love of your wife guide you, but let the angerand worry go, as it's wasting your energies that you could be devoting to other places, like your wife, self, kids, pets, etc...
That said, as always, you're in my thoughts and I hope by the gods that all turns out well for you in the end Social. You're one of our little "online family" here and we care about you and the Mrs.

Thanks everyone,
I have been meditating and I seem to be a bit more peaceful with the situation. Here is an update: My wife will have sugery Monday to remove the polyp and to have another look at the constriction. She will have major surgery on Thursday to remove that area of the colon and to remove her gall bladder. Right now she no longer eats. They feed her through an IV which a main artery is used. She sleeps most of the time and still has severe cramping. They are trying to get her cleaned out as much as possible before Thursday otherwise they will have to put on a coloscomy bag. I have no doubt that she will spend a little time in a nursing home afterwards. I will try to update as much as possible. See all of you later on in the week.
