Top ten things you should know about alternative medicine

I found this to be a good summary of what's wrong with the alternative medicine industry today. My personal belief is that I won't touch any medication or practice that can't/won't stand up to a double-blind study.

was talking about this with a co-worker ... another problem with alternative medicine is finding good and honest practitioners.

Accupuncture/AccuPressure are proven therapies that can work many cures ... but just because the guy has a storefront, is asian and has a Chinese sounding name doesn't mean he knows what he's doing.

One of the hallmark of the less than honest is them saying it will take a full course of treatments before you notice any change ... a course being 15-20 sessions each charged individually. Some marked and measurable improvement should be evident after each visit including the first one, even if it is only slight.
