Diablo III

Post by Mahala » Mon Aug 04, 2008 6:24 pm

AH! \:D/ I love this game SO much and I (though it was late) learned that YES, indeed Blizzard will be releasing a third!!

PARTY!

Okay, so yeah, I'm a nut. It's like World of Warcraft... I love the new video graphics, what I've seen. Creatures able to use the 3D of the fight area, more vivid details with the mane and life orbs, the characters are wonderfully redone. Backgrounds, spectacular and the blood... maybe that's going too far. But I am psyched! I absolutely want to buy this when it comes out, if I have to beg my brother... but he'll want to play too. Awmigosh. And if Diablo II wasn't great enough, they're going to (finally!) make the genders of each character class changeable when you choose them.

Before I go on bumbling and then turn everything into crazy over-excited squeals, you can watch the two trailers HERE!

I absolutely love Blizzard games, they're so very... challenging and amazing. Like a book on a computer you can play.

My SO is very excited as well. What he's absolutely wetting himself over is Starcraft II.

To be fully honest, I can't get too into them. I can play WoW, Diablo (II), etc etc for about ten minutes, get fidgety, and get up and leave. Give me Chrono Trigger or Secret of Mana, and I'm playing for an hour before I get fidgety. Perhaps I'm more for 2D animation and speed, because many of the old games can keep me occupied. Does anyone remember Bubsy the Bobcat??

Ahhhh, Mario, Mario, what have you begun?

Arcanum is the same lol. He can't wait for either of them to be released. To be honest, I'm a bit like CHL ... I played Diablo for like ... 20 mins tops, had enough, never touched it again lol ... However ... I still play WoW >< Go figure? lol

I loved the first Diablo, but I never got into the second... Mind you, I never play online either, just playing it offline with Grimwell. I can't wait to see more of it though!

Me and the family can go for about 4-6 hours, stop for dinner and a soda/milk then game for two more then off to bed and probably repeat every other day or half a day. It depends on our schedules. That was some fun stuff there, the four of us made a deadly hunting party. (On Serious Sam too.)

I don't like Starcraft or Warcraft very much, Warcraft is WAY too complicated for me and I just don't like having to constantly be online. I prefer where I can go solo to advance my character's stats then join a groupd (safely, mind you, not strangers!) and go fight evil.

Another Christmas wish. If it's out before then. Dad said we are definitely getting it.

Diablo III and Starcraft 2, I hope they are as good as they sound and not just a blazen attempt by Blizzard, opps I should say Blizzard-Activision (whatever they call themselves nower days), to make more money. Seriously the quality of Blizzard products has gone down hill since they announced they were making an MMO, and anyone who says otherwise can sit down and play Warcraft 3 back to back and tell me it isn't
a) The same story as Starcraft, minus the original thought and
b) isn't anything but an attempt to set up the Warcraft world for the MMO.
Not to mention a portion of the hard core developers up and leaving due to re-allocation of resources to Wow.

I'm crossing my fingers, but I'm not expecting much.

If it's a dud, then they'll hear some complaints. Personally, WoW is kinda... stupid. To the point of being worthless to buy for more than $15...

A complaining gamer?
Blizzard is used to them, but no matter how bad the company abuses the user, the louder the gamer screams the more they play. It doesn't make sense.
It's as if the typical blizzard gamer has become a zealous fundy, willing debunking their gods omnipotent but ambiguous nature. Of course this wasn't present until Blizzard used there huge fan base to create an MMO, a game designed specifically around how to get the user to spend more time in doing something, so that more time is more money. To some it's almost a virtual drug (I believe there are clinics in Europe devoted to gaming addiction now, not chiefly because of wow but I'm sure they have a few Wow customers). If you think otherwise, create an account and log on yourself, you'll actually find people in game telling you they are bored. Bored, yet they are still logged on standing there. If I was bored playing a computer game, it's a sign the game is either no good, done to completion or unable to keep my interest, I'd go do something else, not stand in the middle of Wow central and complain that there is not enough to do.

I just hope they don't apply this new methodology to their future games, that and I hope they stay away from the MMO market. But considering the amount of money it has generated I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to make a Starcraft MMO, hopefully Starcraft 2 isn't an attempt to set up the galaxy like War3 was for WOW.

I know... I've been biting my nails about Chrono Trigger being released for the DS on the 25th of this month. Ah, a week today! It'll be sold out in minutes >.>
