In Quartzsite, Az and meaningering towards Santa Fe

Post by runewulf » Fri Nov 26, 2010 10:37 pm

Just a quick update, I'm in AZ and will be for the weekend, then I'll be meandering towards Santa Fe for a week or so-ish. Anyone have any suggestions on sites to see or whatnot?

Blessings,

Probably won't appeal to you, but I'd be ALL OVER the Tree of Life Institute! Oh! To be in the hot Arizona sun!!

That's the desert for ya! But I bet it's really nice right about sunset and an hour after.

I have no idea what's out there other than red rocks and sand. Also lizards.

Just from a purely magical standpoint, you could go out and pick up some of that sun-drenched earth. Years of hard sun and cold nights makes for a very interesting energy, I would think.

Oui, that's on the to do list. It's prettiest right before sunset and right after sunrise, however it's bloody cold and windy until late morning or early afternoon right now. I'm seriously debating the wisdom of Santa Fe with it's current weather and my health, so that may be getting delayed a bit. Also need to repair a valve stem on my main propane tank before I even consider being too far out in BFE in Nov-Dec in snowy and freeze areas, lol. Common sense is starting to reassert itself, so a return to Cali is much more likely instead of Santa Fe first.

Hey Rune, if you ever make it up to Calgary, let me know... A bit out of your way (and I wouldn't suggest trying it until Summer), but I'd love to see you for Coffee or the like!

Yep... When I go dark to get writing done I really go dark.

Oh, I don't know if you've been keeping up with my blog, but I finished reading The High King of Montival... I wanted to throw my book up against the wall. Not because it wasn't good, but on the contrast, because the thought of waiting another 2 years/books for the end of this series may drive me to madness with the wait.
