The High King of Montival

Post by Kitsune » Mon Sep 27, 2010 8:24 pm

Arrrrggghhh! :axe: :axe: :axe:

Chapters finally called me to let me know that the copy I'd ordered for my Father as a birthday gift was in... I went in and picked it up today, and they were SOLD OUT of every other copy already!

Which means that I still don't have a copy... :-(

Not that I'm horribly disappointed since I'm not even done reading my copy of Brandon Sanderson's "The Way of Kings" yet... but still. This means I won't be able to buy it until either just before SIWC or just after Nanowrimo (the one time of the year that I don't read).

Sigh... Plus, apparently Dan Wells "Mr. Monster" is being released tomorrow... so I'll have to pick up that and Geist at the same time. ](*,)

So, the books on my "To Read" list are as follows:

Finish "The Way of Kings" by Brandon Sanderson
"Wings" by Aprilynne Pike
"The High King of Montival" by SM Stirling
"Mr. Monster" by Dan Wells
and
"Geist" by Philippa Ballantine

**Sigh** I'm working at getting them done... Eventually, I promise! Man, it was so hard to give up the single copy to my Dad though... I wanted to start it myself. :-"

It was a good read cher. I will likely be doing a reread of it here real soon, but I'm debating starting over at Dies the Fire again, even though it's a few months early for my annual reread of the series, lol.

Um, correct me if I'm mistaken, but if you order a copy, and it's come in, and they call you, do they not set it under the counter with your name on it? They seriously SOLD your copy?

CHL, I think you missed the "Birthday gift for my Father" part, dear.

She preordered a copy as a gift, but not one for herself...thus, while HE has his book, SHE does not.
You say "Witch" like it's a bad thing!

That's okay Crazy...

I just couldn't believe that it was already sold out. My Dad was escatic to finally recieve it though... The only reason he didn't start it right then is that he'd found a hardcover copy of Dies the Fire and he started reading that a day or so ago.

I can't wait until I get my copy though. I may not be able to head in until Late October, but I think his books are worth waiting for.

**Sigh** I suppose it could be a gift to myself for finally finishing my Seirei novel... ](*,)

I'm going through the novel right now and putting it in order so that I can edit it and so that I can see if there are any scenes I need to add.
