If your life ambition is to fly to Mars. You can stand in your garden every day of your life jumping up and down, but you are garunteed to fail, also.

However if you learn to fly, join the Airforce, keep "space fit", apply to N.A.S.A for astronaut training, then ONE day you may just be the great success you were aiming for, and BE the first man on Mars.

How realistic WERE your plans which you feel you have failed at?

Sometimes a readjustment of perspective is called for.

My heart wants to go home. It's taken 30-something years to realise that where I live now is not my heart's true home.
I have lost my way.

So where IS "home"? Unless it is Helmland Province or something, what's stopping you?

The government is stopping me. :) "Home" is another country.

So was mine. You have not said where.

But unless they have cancelled your citizen-ship, or you are a refugee, then I can not imagine how a Government CAN stop you.

Do you mean the Government where you ARE stop you, or the Government where you WISH to be?

The government where I wish to be has rules. I wish to be in England, but I've explored the avenues available to me to get there and I don't fit their criteria.

And I am sorry for hijacking this thread. It wasn't my intention to do so when I made my post.

I've never seen it considered "Thread-jacking" here if you're answering someone's questions.
You say "Witch" like it's a bad thing!

It is called "thread development", or "Computerised Darwinism" in my book. ;)

And ANY way, seen legaly (RAGNARS "Legaly" ), if YOU start on a thread, with a problem that you have with/because/about, or if it effects YOU, it is not strictly speaking a "hijack", if you discuss those problems it has raised.

Go ahead! DEVELOP your thoughts. That IS what you asked us to help with, after all. 8-)
