Melamine Warning in Halloween Candy

Post by Crazy Healer Lady » Fri Oct 31, 2008 6:32 pm

All candies, really. Milk from China has been found to be poisoned with Melamine, a substance that can lead to kidney failure and death, particularly in young children.

Candy (and other food) products made in China or with milk products made in China have a very good chance of being tainted with Melamine. Although the FDA says all candy products in the USA are safe, there is no documentation to show this, and we have had no word on candy products in Canada. I'm unsure of the state of candies in other countries.

Without going all conspiracy on you guys, I will say that the FDA doesn't have your health interests in mind concerning this issue, or many others. They say it is safe now, but that may change.

Please please please use caution this year, as there are millions of candies out there tainted with Melamine still in circulation which have not yet been recalled. If in doubt, throw it out.

Much love to you all from the Crazy Healer Lady
