When it comes to behaviour the brain is the Fat Controller. It turns out that it’s not our parents, our peers or even our experiences that orient our political persuasions. It’s the noggin. Our political persuasions are determined by the cerebral cortex. In a study published in Current Biology scientists revealed a significant brain difference between conservatives and those inclined to more liberal views.

Finally science has discovered what most of us lefties have always believed: conservatives are dumb. Or at the very least paranoid and prone to irrational thinking: eg there is no global warming; gays are bad; guns are good and all refugees are terrorists.

I'm shocked. In my state, most of the people are conservative. No wonder people around here act so strangely. Although, I sort of wonder how early in their lives they developed these brain "disabilities", if it was from family and friends, or just spontaneous.
