The Simpsons and Wicca

Post by Hytegia » Sun May 16, 2010 9:31 am

Wow.
The Simpsons managed to capture Paganism and Wicca in a favoring light (and, ofcourse, by favoring light I mean give it the same ammount of scrutiny as the rest and portray it for it's steriotypes and good aspects eventually).

And all the boards did shrink;
Water, water, everywhere,
Nor any drop to drink."

I saw this article when it came out... but I must not have mentioned it on here. The episode wasn't too bad... Personally my favourite line was when the girls said, "Now we'll depart in a way most Wiccan" and then the girl text's her Mom for a ride.

Great line on a not too bad show... It's too bad that the Simpsons hasn't really been a great show in years.
Trying to create a world, even in words, is good occupational therapy for lunatics who think they're God, and an excellent argument for Polytheism. -S.M. Stirling
