It never ceases to amaze me at how absolutely self absorbed and devoid of respect some people are.
And I hope that karma will kick their bloomin @$$3$ :smt076

Stonehenge could do with the same Karma God that was looking after the Banyan (sp?) statues.

Now THAT was the best piece of Karma in action I have EVER seen.

I'm at a loss, Ragnar. What happened with the statues?

Not that it's highly relevent to this post at all, but Ragnar mentioned Buddha... so blame him...

It was Buddha's birthday on May 16th... We all missed it by a few days apparently, but I thought it was interesting...

Here's a link below... Apparently the old guy is celebrating his 2,571 birthday... Strange that, he doesn't look a day over 1,500! :-D

Ahhh. Are memories REALLY so short?

What I find strange, is that had this happened in any OTHER country, if the pope decided to demolish the temple of Appollo in Rome, or the Greeks blew up the Acropolis, web sites, like this one, and newspapers, and other news outlets, would be screaming for justice.

However, as the Taliban are muslim, as USUAL, they are allowed to get away with murder, and NO one raises a finger.

Pre-2001, I was young (13) and did not understand this stuff, to be honest

September of 2001, I stopped watching the news for a little while. I couldn't stand to see that monkey's face.

Sorry. Aye. I tend to forget how "time is fleeting".

I quite often say to Lisa, "Go ON, You must remember that in 1968!"

The statues of the Buddha were sad. The whole...oh preserving them doesn't help our society at all thing...well have you heard of tourist dollars?

As for the stonehenge people, well I hope Karma takes a coin sized chunk out of them with a screwdriver. I will be even more upset of they turn out to be "Pagans" or druids who wanted to take a sacred piece with hem.
