So now all he needs is another attack and wave goodbye to the elections. Think he's crazy enough to try it?

Serious issue, but sorry, this has to be said....
:oops:

Everybody pray real hard that Mother Nature doesn't show her anger by having a tornado hit the US this year.

From what I read on that website, the "total destruction" of another small town would be enough to activate this.

Heck, the small town doesn't even have to actually be there. :evil:

I could see him watching for another tornado, and simply having crews available to show the "wreakage" of a small town that was never there in the first place. After all, how many people upon hearing that Greensburg got destroyed, actually checked to see how long Greensburg was around.

That would be the greatest cover up this century. And almost impossible to disprove so long as he waits for an actual tornado.

Any thoughts???

Hang on, hang on...
"Catastrophic Emergency" means any incident, regardless of location, that results in extraordinary levels of mass casualties, damage, or disruption severely affecting the U.S. population, infrastructure, environment, economy, or government functions;
.... does global warming count?

"The people can always be brought to do the bidding of the leaders. This is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country."

Heh, I heard it the first time in "The War on Terror" by that Roy Zimmerman guy :-D I wiki'd him. The full quote on Goering's wikipedia page is:

Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. ...Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.
