"It's a Kind of Magic"

Post by Windwalker » Wed May 16, 2007 9:18 pm

This really isn't news nor is it politics, but it was an article in the "Travel" section of the NZ Listener and I was pleasantly surprised to find it. The writer visited a Scottish Pagan Federation Conference. (Were any of you there?) It's actually a portrayal of Pagans that doesn't make it seem like we're all insane, evil, or living in Faerie-land.
...the Scottish Interfaith Council has asked the Pagan Federation to supply an embroidered banner for permanent display. Finding one phrase that sums up the beliefs of every pagan in Scotland has proved impossible. Discussions broke down acrimoniously, and the Heathens threatened a mass walkout.

Aye. A good article. For a change. .....Well, in far as it is neutral, rather than a snide poke.
I particularly like the way he describes the "Pagan fundies".

THAT makes the guy likable. Other press scum would have chosen them to "represent" every one.

Hmm, interesting article.

I cannot relate to her experience but yeah, at least she was funny yet fair.
