we should re-name the thread,

8 planets and 4(?) dwarfes....disney sequal 101 and solar systems to follow.

Poor pluto :-(.

Personally, I'll take xena over chuck norris, neither can act but at least one can show emotion. Who wants a comatose dwarf.

Well, maybe snow white when she's feeling frisky

(yes ladies and gentlemen, this is day three with no sleep)

Ragnar, do you know how long I have been singing this song, only to forget what most of the words are?

Fellow Monty Python fans, Canadian or not, let us sing!

I don't care what some guy in a lab coat says, Pluto is a planet, it has been for thousands of years. Just because some geek with a clip board makes a new rule doesn't mean he can take away Plutos planetary title!!!!!

On a side note, hi guys!! :hello2:
Maybe now you're starting to understand that while I may have been born predispositioned to be pretty batty, my parents saw to it that it was a certainty and completely unavoidable. -Me

I read about this wikipedia (damn are they ever up to date). It sounds to me like the idea of perhaps over 200 planets scares them. And that's why they're naming it a "Dwarf Planet"... I believe the proposed name that they're looking at (just to disapoint all you Chuck Norris fans) is Persephone, or perhaps the Roman equivalent Prospepina.
Trying to create a world, even in words, is good occupational therapy for lunatics who think they're God, and an excellent argument for Polytheism. -S.M. Stirling

CHL. Here you go;

Title: The Lumberjack Song
From: Monty Python's Flying Circus
Transcribed By: unknown

I never wanted to do this in the first place!
I... I wanted to be...

A LUMBERJACK!

(piano vamp)

Leaping from tree to tree! As they float down the mighty rivers of
British Columbia! With my best girl by my side!
The Larch!
The Pine!
The Giant Redwood tree!
The Sequoia!
The Little Whopping Rule Tree!
We'd sing! Sing! Sing!

Oh, I'm a lumberjack, and I'm okay,
I sleep all night and I work all day.

CHORUS: He's a lumberjack, and he's okay,
He sleeps all night and he works all day.

I cut down trees, I eat my lunch,
I go to the lavatory.
On Wednesdays I go shoppin'
And have buttered scones for tea.

Mounties: He cuts down trees, he eats his lunch,
He goes to the lavatory.
On Wednesdays he goes shoppin'
And has buttered scones for tea.

CHORUS

I cut down trees, I skip and jump,
I like to press wild flowers.
I put on women's clothing,
And hang around in bars.

Mounties: He cuts down trees, he skips and jumps,
He likes to press wild flowers.
He puts on women's clothing
And hangs around.... In bars???????

CHORUS

I chop down trees, I wear high heels,
Suspenders and a bra.
I wish I'd been a girlie
Just like my dear papa.

Mounties: He cuts down trees, he wears high heels
Suspenders and a .... a Bra????
(mounties break off song, and begin insulting lumberjack)

Girl: (crying) I thought you were so rugged!

Thank you!!!

Hmmm. Methinks he wasn't just from BC, but Vancouver, maybe on Davie's ;) (The bus stops and garbage cans are all Pepto Bismol pink; and it is home to such shops as Little Sisters, if any of you have heard of it; and the straight men will not walk it without a girl and hold on furiously to their hands ;) )

Chuck Norris, dear friends, is awesome.
I am reliably informed by a letter-war in my student rag that Chuck Norris kicks WAY more arse than Steven Seagal.
Firstly, he doesn't have a chin under that beard. He has another fist.
And when he does push-ups, he's actually pushing the earth down.
Also, his tears cure cancer. It's just a shame that he never cries. EVER.

For what it's worth I'm rather upset at Pluto's demotion. **pout**

For those of us who LOVE Chuck Norris Jokes

Pluto shall always be a planet in my heart. I definitely wouldn't have minded 200 new planets, but I think they should have let it stay. They're messing up something I learned in school, and I'm not all that happy about it.

I think I'll be a rebel and still call it a planet.
