Raw Rice Milk

It's actually VERY good! As long as you shake it beforehand and don't get a mouth full of sediment

Let 1 cup of wild rice soak in 2 cups of water overnight (at least 12 hrs). If you are a fan of Masaru Emoto's work, put some words like "love" and "gratitude" facing in on the outside of your container.

Drain, rinse, and put rice in a blender with 4 cups of water. Blend for a few minutes and strain through a small-holed strainer. Add two teaspoons of honey, or up to two tablespoons if you have a sweet tooth. Shake before each serving.

Don't expect it to taste like milk, but it is really wonderful once the initial shock is gone!!

Yep you sure can!

I made ice "cream" from it today ^_^

The principle is pretty much the same if you want to make almond or grain milk :D You can reuse the grinds, and it actually tastes better O_O

That's awesome....

Ice cream...how? Do you have a maker? HAve you ever tried to make ice cream with cane or raw sugar instead of refined?

I have a very old maker that is too loud and really doesn't work properly.

Actually, I use honey :) You can use ground raisins or dates too :) (I don't like dates, so I use dried cranberries, currants, or raisins :) )

LOL

Well, if you have one around you, Liquidation World has some pretty good stuff for cheap. I got my juicer for about $24. Operations like the MCC or Salvation Army sometimes have good appliances for cheap, but there's a lot of junk, too
