Grandmothers Garden

Post by forgotten oceans » Thu Dec 03, 2009 9:09 pm

Nothing fantastic, just thinking about my Gramma one lonely and sloshy night. :partyman:

Strawberry Maidens
first taste of Spring.
Mother hydrangea with your palest blues
and purple hues.
Yellow Rose Queen
who changes seasons with such grace.
Huckleberry breakfast
and Figs for supper.
Where has all the time gone?
All our yesterdays have caught up with us
and left us with today,
with uncertain tomorrows.
Who can say? Maybe it was worth it,
even if for only a little while.
Maybe now you're starting to understand that while I may have been born predispositioned to be pretty batty, my parents saw to it that it was a certainty and completely unavoidable. -Me
