I am considering throwing some stuff up here for discussion.. What I have is a collection of Laws from various traditions, Craft, Thelemite, etc etc etc... These are from people who have given them to me over the years (20+ years running around esoteric circles), they may be good fodder for debate and discussion... What say you? (if I don't get more than 10 responses, I'll take it as a general YES and start posting them anyways)
Of course this would depend on Celtic Dragon, the mod as some of them will be like gas on a fire and may be explosive.....

but thats his job.. put out the fires..
Let me know and VOTE!!!

Yes!! YES!!! Please lets discuss some of this stuff!!! I'd vote twice if it weren't unethical

.
I think we should be able to keep it civil. And if we want to claim there is any sort of pagan or wiccan or even human community, it is the sort of thing we ought to discuss...just to see what others think and feel on the issues and maybe (hopefully) even have oppertunities to test and question our own beliefs.

AS sad as it is, I've lost that spark that kept me oh so glued to the monitor and writing paragraph after paragraph. So hell yea! Light my fire.

And don't worry about the witch war, I feel pretty confident about my abilities to calm a chaotic inferno. If nothing else I can pull the plug on it.
Oh and that's Lady Celtic, if you don't mind.

I am usually not very good at these type of discussions if you look thru the rest of the strings here on the Ethics board, they really just aren't my cup of tea. But maybe now I am a little older and a littler wiser. I should take a crack at it. Especially if its a topic I actually know something about! *lol* Craft laws?? I know enough to hold my own.
Thats a lesson this board has certainly taught me. It doesn't matter if what I say comes out wrong or it comes out right and the whole world disagrees with me. I am not everyone else, I have my own opinions and views on what works for me and I will not let that waver.
So let is fly as they say!

Well, I must say the laws themselves are not my area of expertise, but ethics are, and surely any such discussion would only improve our understanding of the various traditions. I say bring it on. Who knows, civilised discussion might even lead to the revision of some of these laws and the start of an all-new tradition. Maybe not, but either way it would be a nice, lively discussion, and that's always good.

Thanks for the response y'all, I'll give it a couple days and then start posting.... I'll try to make sure I don't post anything that is currently in the Library so its all new stuff.... (or old depending on how you look at it)

Okaye.. I am a year late and a dollar short

...where do I find these topics on the collection of Laws from various traditions that Luciferish had suggested

.. I am very intrigued and willing to expand my mind further and offer what I can in any way....

( I was born blonde I have much room to fill up....lol)
Now, does anyone still read this section?...lol....do I make a left or a right at the intersection?.....

He started them, there was little to no discussion that couldn't be had more easily elsewhere and so there was no point in him wasting his time typing and posting them. Since then they have timed off the board. I believe if you look at "do I continue" you'll see the answer. I gave up on myths in the story section for similar reasons.

I may not fit into what has been termed "Christian Ethics"... I'd be a murderer compared to that set of strict rules, so I'll hop in too once you get the ball rolling to go and counteract a lot of what everyone else is babbling about! *cackles*

i think the discussion with all the laws posted got pruned.
That happens around here a lot to keep the board tidy. good luck finding old posts.
