maybe if you clarified "editorial", there would be more posts.

According to Websters;

"an article published as an expression of the views of the editor."

So it's basically an opinion piece.

Say, about abortion, or Islam, or foresty.
Not necessarily Pagan-related, methinks.

And now we wait for the opinions to roll in...

:-x Ha ha true

But what opinions really are "safe?" :oops: There's so much chance that you will upset or offend someone with your opinions.

Look at it as a way to intelligently put foward your opinion based on facts (and references if you want) instead of what we normally post. Well, thats how I see it in any case. :-D

An editorial is usually a well-reasoned rant as opposed to your average run-of-the-mill rant.

Personally, I enjoy dissecting the reasoning behind somebody's misguided views. ;)

It must also not be forgotten that "Editorials" have brought down entire political systems before today. Therefore they are not very much liked by China, Burma, and other "freedom loving countrys".

They CAN be a pretty powerful weapon. A real example of how people can talk their way out of a situation rather than fighting.

Having said that, if any of you find editorials from 1938 > 1945, Korea and Vietnam, you may NOT think that is the case.

It is the editorials from two British "news papers" that got us sent to the Falklands. (Sun and Mirror, for the Brits here.)

oh, so it's basically like a more sophisticated version of the general chat, news & politics, fundies, etc. topics in that, say, in the general chat you would talk about something that happened at work, but here you can talk about war? and stuff? :still a little lost... :oops: )
