My Pics

Post by Kitsune » Fri Feb 09, 2007 10:03 pm

Hey, I recently got a page on MSN live and I've posted some of my artwork on it for anyone who cares to take a look. They're not very good, but I do like drawing them.

I can't figure out how to properly show them on here, so I'll just pass the site address along to you guys.

Let me know what you guys think.

Great work! So are you persuing a career in comics/graphic novels? If not, WHY? Have you ever heard of Rick Mays? Best friend of my husband and I. Husband met him working in a comic shop, saw the work he was doing and pushed him to submit to the comic industry. He now works full time in comics and does a very nice living for himself. Moral of story - don't under-value your skills.

No, I don't think I'm anywhere near good enough to make a career out of it. Heck the University of Calgary wouldn't let me into their art programs.

No, I think I'm quite happy starting up Foresight Reiki, my own Reiki, tarot and dream interpretation business.

Oh, I will be putting up more of my art as soon as I get it all scanned in.

Thanks for all the great feedback everybody.

Wow, and here I thought that this thread was dead...

Thanks so much! I really enjoy drawing, actually I have a few more I should add on to it... I've done one or two more since then.

Thank you for your comments... I really appreiciate having people tell me they like my work.

With my next paycheck, or the one thereafter, I should have enough cash to buy myself a delter X-Pen and tablet so that I can start drawing on computer too! That should make the colour and lines so much nicer... I also found a school in Japan that would take Gaijin like me in so long as I'm good enough... The only catch is that all the classes are in Japanese, so I'd need to be much better at speaking the language than I am currently before I send in my art to get accepted.

On the other hand, if I can learn the language well enough, it would cost me less than $20,000 for my two years, and that would probally cover my living expenses as well... Not counting if I were able to get a job there. So, if I can buck up and learn Japanese, I could go there to learn... It would be great. And Grimwell's already agreed to move there with me if I go!

Hmmm, what can I say? It's nice to dream! :-)
