I know, I absolutely fell in love with that castle. I wish I could live there!

But they are wso cold and drafty too live in.....

But it would be neat to be in there a bit and have the walls tell their stories. I have always wished that walls in Cathedrals would speak, what would they say. I imagine castles would have a lot to tell too.,

Well actually, there was this one room in the guard's house where the walls DID tell their stories, and lets just say they definitely weren't happy ones. I think I have pics of a couple of the rooms in the guards house, but the one room I couldn't take pictures of, it was just too scary. There was nothing visibly scary about it. It was just an empty room. But when I walked in there, I was immediately frightened, and felt that if I walked all the way in, someone would lock me in there. I actually had to reassure myself that that wouldn't happen so I could walk all the way in. Once I did, I read the plaque on the wall that said that this room had been used to torture prisoners, and even listed some of the methods used. Lemme tell you, it was scary stuff.

Aside from that, yeah you could definitely feel the sheer age of the castle. It definitely had many stories to tell. And for the record, if I lived in a castle, I'd have to install central heat somehow! :-D

LOL, ditto, especially if Said Castle is in Northern Scottland.

It is interesting how energy hangs around a place. After Frosh Week the University always seems to vibrate for at least a month afterwards, and during exams it is like there is a weight in the air, I can't imagine what it would be like in a torture room.

Lol, well I could understand why there would be a weight in the air during exam week, lol. Honestly, there was a weight and feeling of franticness (if that's even a word) at my university too around that time, and the school has only been open since the 60's I think. But then again, I'm a bit of an empath and usually better at feeling people's energy rather than the energy of a place so that's probably what I was feeling at my school.

Also...what's Frosh week??

Oh it is a week at the beginning of the school year when all the first years are indoctrinated, in reality it is a big drinking fest, but there are crazy games and parties and pep rallies for a week.

Mine culminated with the world's biggest toga party...good times all around

Ohhh, I see. It's what's called Rush Week here, where all the sororities and fraternities throw parties to recruit.

Oh, this is actually run byt the school, sororities and fraternities aren't as big a thing in Canada, they still exist but they haven't taken hold the way they have in other places.

The univeristy refers to it as orientation week and tries to keep tabs on things. Doesn't really work.

Ah I see. Yeah, for some reason they've become like a plague at all the universities in the states. Why? I dunno, any excuse to party I suppose.
