Aye? I was attached to them for three years whilst with the Military police. It was also my re-enactment group for five years after coming here.
Thats the uniform I was at Bourtange in. The same as the one in the photo on page 5 of this topic. Wearing the pioneers apron. But I have the kilt o underneath.
Whats a Scotsman wear under his apron? A kilt!

Or this which is better. You can actualy JUST see the kilt.

you changed your beard!
Canadian navy has pretty strict beard rules, and it is the only service where you are actually allowed a beard. Army and Air are only allowed mustaches.

Re: Photos of Pagan Library Members
that's probably a heck of a story, there, Ragnar.
Though, I was at a medieval/fantasy game once and caught my cape on fire...so...I probably have very little room to jag you! Burned through four layers of garb, but didn't hit my skin or my last two clothing layers.

Re: Photos of Pagan Library Members
No, what was funny was it was in January, and once I realized my cape was on fire, my first instinct was to take it off. But the problem with that was the night before I took a button clasp off (that released with a tap of my hand) and put a rope frog on...which wouldn't let go.
Then, this dry little voice in the back of my head when "Doofus, Snow puts out fire. What's on the ground?"
And I flung myself into the snow, to flop around like a dying fish! I can laugh at it now, b/c I wasn't hurt and it was years ago...but at the time, I was stressed.

Re: Photos of Pagan Library Members
Ahhhh, O.K.
I was sitting as night watch on a re-enactment do. Then some one asked if we ould not put more wood on the fire, as it was just about "cooks Reveille" (When the cooks start getting the coffe on....FOOD comes later.
),. SOOOO, I gets this big lump of wood and .....O.K it was NOT "delicate", but I put it on the fire.
The fire got revenge. JUST as it hit the fire base Loké, (BASTARD!!!!) decided to fart, and blew sparks all over me. Hair, Beard, everywhere.
Luckily I was NOT naked, so PARTS are still safe. However.....
Ach Mensch. I must get the tale of the Norwegian Kannonier together. THAT was funny.
