Photoshop fun!

Post by Kystar » Mon Jan 10, 2005 5:47 pm

Image

I drew this after reading a friend's story, but she reworked the Goddess and didn't need my drawing...so I decieded to finish her in Photoshop...eventually, I'll do all the ones I have in the series, but I thought I'd put her up here.

Enjoy!

You did that ALL with a mouse?

Wow. Something I've learned that you might want to consider: If you have a scanner, draw the picture on regular paper and then scan it. Clean up the paper blemeshes in PhotoShop and then use the Burn tool to darken the lines. Then, add the colors you want layer by layer. It's the way some comic book artists do it and I've had some success with it. (of course, my own drawing skills are poor at best, so I use my friend's artwork for the base sketch.

Wow, that's cool. I'll have to remember that for when I do the tarot I've promised a friend. I'm a novice at Photoshop really.

Actually, no, I did the touch ups with a mouse...I used the wand tool to select areas and filled them with color...but that much touch up was annoying.
