A Child's Birth

Lady Amhranai

Stars shone brightly over the land,
The moon rose high in the sky,
Ancient ones bent their heads down,
To watch the new one's birth.
This child is not a god,
But not unlike them either,
Made with the strength of the Lord,
And the love of the Lady,
Forged into form by their Union.
This child is not unique,
But is like you and I.
We were born of the Lady and Lord,
And of their Union and love,
And held together by each other.
We are that babe,
And the ancestors bent down for us once too.
