Magick Man

Taarna Savet

The child within me
Now is dead,
All her dreams were shattered. e.

She met the man
Behind the mask,
He left her torn and tattered.

One she wished
And once she hoped,
Now all she does is cry.

For like the bird
Who's wings are broke,
N'ere again she'll fly.

Why have you done this
Master of Illusions,
Did you find it fun?

She turned her head
And walked away,
Knowing he had won.

And now inside me
The pieces lay,
Like shards of bitter hat

For who are you
I ask myself,
To try and seal my fate?

It seems to me
For one so "old",
You missed the truth divine.

That like our love
Left unnurtured,
Your illusions fade with time.

So listen now
Oh, Magick Man,
Your fate to me is known.

Until you learn
To give yourself,
You'll dance through life alone.

Time heals all
Including me,
I know again I'll soar.

But as for the child
You took from me,
She's gone forever more.
