Harry Potter, gender honors course offered in fall semester

Dan Colson will set out to teach about the world of wizardry, witchcraft and gender through the popular young adult series “Harry Potter.” In fall 2015, Colson, assistant professor of English, will be teaching a course titled “Topics in Literature by Women Writers: Gender and Harry Potter’s Cultural Impact.” Taught through the Honors College, the class allows admission by permission only and has a maximum capacity of 22 students.
